ICICI Bank statement to Excel
ICICI Bank e-statements pack a lot into narrow columns: long transaction remarks wrap over several lines, and amounts carry an "(INR)" heading. This converter untangles that layout into one clean row per transaction and checks every row against the balance column.

Private by design: your PDF is read by your own browser. It is never uploaded, and nothing is stored on a server. The password, if you type one, is used once to open the file and then forgotten.
Text-based PDF, up to 25 MB and 300 pages. On a computer you can also drop the file here.

Always compare the converted file with your original statement before using it for tax filing, loans or audits. The converted file is not an official bank document.
How to download your ICICI Bank statement
ICICI Bank's statements page describes where to find a detailed statement in Net Banking.
- Sign in to ICICI Bank Net Banking from the official site (icici.bank.in).
- Open Bank Accounts, then e-Statements.
- Choose View Detailed Statement, then select the account and period. ICICI says statements for up to the last four years are available here.
- Download the statement and keep the original file.
If your e-statement arrived by email as a password-protected PDF, you can convert it directly here: the password box appears automatically.
How we read an ICICI Bank statement
Detailed ICICI statements usually look like this. The serial number column is left out of the export because it carries no information you need.
| Column in the PDF | Column in your spreadsheet |
|---|---|
| S No. | (not exported) |
| Value Date | Value Date |
| Transaction Date | Date |
| Cheque Number | Reference |
| Transaction Remarks | Description |
| Withdrawal Amount (INR) | Debit |
| Deposit Amount (INR) | Credit |
| Balance (INR) | Balance |
- Headings are often printed on two lines ("Withdrawal" over "Amount (INR)"); both lines are read together.
- Transaction Remarks can wrap over two to four lines. They are joined into one Description cell.
- ICICI often prints 0.00 in the unused amount column. A zero is treated as empty, so each row has either a debit or a credit.
- Dates written as 01/06/2026 or 01.06.2026 are both read as day first.
- When no opening balance is printed, the first row becomes the starting point and every later row is checked.
Common problems
It asks for a password and I don't know it
ICICI sets the PDF password, and the email carrying the e-statement normally explains the format. We don't guess or store passwords.
A remark from one row appears in the next row
This can happen when a statement prints remarks above the date line. Check the highlighted row, then try choosing "ICICI Bank" under Bank layout so the ICICI hints are applied.
The first row says "Starting point"
Without a printed opening balance, the first balance is the reference for the rest. Every other row is still checked.

FAQ
Can I convert several years of ICICI statements?
Yes, one file at a time, with no daily limit. Every page of each statement is exported, and each file gets its own balance check.
Which date is used, value date or transaction date?
Transaction Date goes in the Date column and Value Date gets its own column, so you keep both.
Is the ICICI password sent anywhere?
No. It is passed straight to the PDF reader running in your browser and then discarded.
StatementKit is not affiliated with or endorsed by ICICI Bank. Bank names are used only to describe compatibility.
